A fee of $188.00 U.S. dollars is to be paid at the time the application is submitted.  ($150.00 for the license application fee and $38.00 for the criminal background check fee).  Personal checks made payable to the NC Medical Board are acceptable. Checks returned for insufficient funds will require an additional $20.00   fee. Returned checks must be replaced by a certified check or money order.  Fees received are not refundable. Applications will not be processed until an application fee has been received.
