The North Carolina Medical Board, which licenses and regulates the state’s physicians and physician assistants, has launched a redesigned web site at www.ncmedboard.org
The new site, designed by Imp Designs of Raleigh, NC, includes features that make it easier to quickly find information about the Board, its policies and licensees. New services include:
The Board’s Web site continues to provide patients and medical professionals with the ability to search for licensees by name, license type, specialty or city. Licensee information pages include basic information about the practitioner’s medical education and training, licensure history in NC, disciplinary history (if any), hospital privileges and other details. The Board is in the process of expanding these pages to include more useful information. The expanded pages are scheduled to go live in December 2009.
