8.4.1: Unethical Agreements in Complaint Settlements
Categories: 8.4: Licensee Interactions with Government Agencies and Legal Proceedings Adopted Nov 1993 | Amended Sep 2025The Board considers it unethical for a licensee to settle a complaint if the agreement includes a condition that prevents the patient from sharing information or filing a complaint with the Board. Violation of this policy may result in disciplinary action by the Board.
