On January 1, North Carolina will officially become a member of the Interstate Medical Licensure Compact. This will allow physicians licensed in other Compact states to obtain a North Carolina medical license through a streamlined application process. It will also allow North Carolina physicians the opportunity to obtain licensure in other Compact states.
