Streamlined NC CSRS registration

NCMB has created a faster pathway to its licensee registration portal for the NC Controlled Substances Reporting System. Physicians and PAs who use the new portal will login, then provide their Drug Enforcement Administration (DEA) number and a valid email address, create a password and click submit to register with the state-run prescription database. The new system improves upon an existing registration portal, which is accessed through the NCMB licensee information portal, which licensees use to manage contact information and make certain reports to the Board.

NC law will eventually require anyone with a valid DEA registration to register for NCCSRS. Although this provision is not yet in effect, NCMB encourages licensees who prescribe controlled substances to register and use the system.
