The March episode of the MedBoard Matters podcast highlights the Consumer Resources section of NCMB's website and the wealth of resources it provides to help patients become more engaged and informed. The section includes digital brochures in English and Spanish, videos, short articles and other tools, some of which are suitable for licensees to print and use with their own patients. NCMB recently translated four more patient resources into Spanish, to help serve a greater number of North Carolinians. The most recent pieces translated include our Health Literacy brochure and printable one page flyer, which seek to empower patients to use health information as a tool when making decisions about their healthcare, and our Informed Consent brochure and one page flyer. The latter outlines the concept of informed consent in detail and reviews what information patients should understand before giving it.
