Free training on the new NC CSRS user interface

The state-run Controlled Substances Reporting System (NCCSRS), which maintains a database of all controlled substances dispensed in outpatient settings across NC, has launched a redesigned user interface to make the system’s content easier to use. The NCMB encourages licensees to register for access to the NCCSRS and use its data to help make responsible prescribing decisions and identify patients who may be diverting and/or abusing controlled substances.

The redesigned system interface provides prescribers and pharmacists with a more intuitive user experience. It also provides new convenient features like password reset, profile update and prescribing history. In addition, the new system provides easy to read reports that include new information like MME conversion and method of payment.

An online tutorial designed to help prescribers and pharmacists get familiar with the new CSRS is available online. The tutorial is about nine minutes long.
