NCMB wins grant to support safe opioid prescribing
The FSMB Foundation has awarded a $10,000 grant to the NCMB to provide education on Extended-Release and Long-Acting (ER/LA) Opioid Analgesics. The NCMB will use the grant to help defray the costs of a three-hour CME event on safe opioid prescribing planned for the annual meeting of the NC Academy of Family Physicians later this year. The NCAFP is the state’s largest specialty society and present a good opportunity to reach a wide audience of prescribers.
The NCAFP CME event will be held during the annual meeting Dec. 4-7 in Asheville. The CME program will be offered both to NCAFP members and to interested parties who are not members of the organization.
The NCMB will publish more details about the CME event when details are finalized.
