Serve on the Perfusionist Advisory Committee

The North Carolina Medical Board is seeking applicants to fill a vacancy for a licensed perfusionist on the Board’s Perfusionist Advisory Committee.

The perfusionist appointed will fill a three year term ending October 31, 2017.  The appointed perfusionist also will be eligible to serve an additional three year term after the completion of the first term.

Applicants must have an active, non-limited license to practice perfusion in North Carolina, among other qualifications. Applicants must have no public disciplinary actions with the Board or any other professional licensing board for the past 10 years. Committee members shall receive a per diem and reimbursement for travel and subsistence as provided in G.S. 93B 5. 

Interested applicants should submit to the Board a cover letter expressing his or her interest in serving on the Committee, a copy of his or her curriculum vitae or resume and two letters of recommendation from individuals familiar with the applicant’s practice of perfusion.  The deadline for submissions is August 15, 2014.
