Board permits expedited partner therapy for certain STDs

The Board approved an amendment to the following position statement at its meeting in November:

Contact with Patients Before Prescribing
Although it is the position of the Board that a physician perform a physical exam prior to prescribing to a patient, the amended statement now notes circumstances where prescribing to an individual without an exam may be suitable.
