Pandemic H1N1 flu update

The NC Division of Public Health has released an updated memo for clinicians about the latest developments regarding pandemic H1N1 influenza in North Carolina. The memo provides guidance on clinical management of suspected or confirmed pandemic H1N1 influenza cases, recommendations for laboratory testing, tips on infection control and other control measures, as well as information on the state’s efforts in surveillance and tracking of the illness.

Clinicians are urged to regularly check reliable sources, such as www.ncpublichealth.com or www.cdc.gov/H1N1flu/ for new information, as guidance may change over time.
