New license application for internationally trained physicians is now live
NCMB is now accepting applications for a new NC license type for physicians who were educated and trained outside the United States and territories. This license type was created by a 2025 state law that aims to increase our state’s physician workforce. Applicants must meet extensive eligibility criteria to qualify.
