                    On January 1, North Carolina will officially become a member of the Interstate Medical Licensure Compact. This will allow physicians licensed in other Compact states to obtain a North Carolina medical license through a streamlined application process. It will also allow North Carolina physicians the opportunity to obtain licensure in other Compact states. <br />

How does this all work and how could it impact North Carolina physicians and their patients? <br />

NCMB seeks to provide some answers with a recent episode of its podcast, MedBoard Matters, which features an interview with the executive director of the Interstate Medical Licensure Compact Commission, the organization that oversees the IMLC. <br />
