NCMB currently has two openings for a physician Board Members for terms beginning in late February 2026.
One seat may be filled by any qualified licensed physician. The other seat must be held by a physcian who is either a doctor of osteopathic medicine or a full‑time faculty member of a NC medical schools who uses integrative medicine in their practice. The independent body that nominates candidates to the Governor will accept applications through the closed of business hours on Jan. 9, 2026.

The Review Panel will consider only physicians (MDs or DOs) who hold active, unrestricted NC medical licenses. Applicants must be actively providing patient care at least part time and must have no history of disciplinary action within the past five years, among other criteria.
