IMLC’s impact on NC: the first five months
The state of North Carolina’s participation with the Interstate Medical Licensure Compact Commission (IMLCC) is delivering on its promise to provide a faster pathway to medical licensure in our state. Between January 1, when NCMB became an active IMLC state, and May 31 nearly 1,400 physicians sought a NC medical license through the IMLC pathway. On average, licenses have been issued in less than 10 days.
