Last year was one of the busiest on record, with the largest volume of new enforcement cases ever. The total licensee population increased to just over 62,000, fueled by strong growth in NCMB's licensing program, which issued more than 6,700 licenses to physicians, residents, PAs, perfusionists and anesthesiology assistants last year.
